The Teddy Bear Song

The Battersby Duo

Lyrics:

The Teddy Bear Song.
Verse 1.
Oh my Teddy Bear.
may be very old...
may just have one eye,
but he belongs to me.

Oh my Teddy Bear...
well he talks to me.
and he tells me things
that only good friends do.

Chorus.
And he's lived with me for always,
and I know he always will;
and he hugs me when I'm feeling kind of down.
Well I've never seen him mad,
no I've never seen him frown.
I'm so glad my Teddy Bear's around.

Verse 2.
Oh my Teddy Bear...
well he dreams with me.
watches sunlight dance
upon my bedroom wall.

Chorus
And he's lived with me for always,
and I know he always will;
and he hugs me when I'm feeling kind of down.
Well I've never seen him mad,
no I've never seen him frown.
I'm so glad my Teddy Bear's around.

The Battersby Duo

About the Artist:

Laura and Tim, the award-winning Battersby Duo, wrote the 15 silly songs for this fun album. Inspired by the artistic creativity of youngsters in a kindergarten class, each tune has color related to it in some way. Most of them are performed in a 60s folk/rock style, with some blues and jazz included. Tim enhances the album with his entertaining British, Cockney, Scottish, and other accents. Bagpipes, harmonica, kazoo, and xylophone join with guitars, piano, and drums to give the songs extra pizzazz. In "Buttercup the Bovine," a person thinks that his cow is a cat. Other songs include "Bumble Bee Blues," "Color Me Eric," "The Citrus Song," "Elephant's Toenails," and others. and cover topics such as painting, reading, the alphabet, and riding bikes."
