From J. P. Taylor:
Since I was a child I’ve been interested in and attracted to nature. And at an early age I became interested in music and began writing songs.
I became a teacher to make a difference in the world. Through my songs I’ve tried to help kids understand how people and the other living things in the world are interdependent – and share my passion for the Earth’s natural environment.
There are so many people all over the world who care about the Earth and are doing things to help our planet, little things and big things. More and more are joining us every day.
I have come to realize that my mission is to support and encourage these "Eco-Crusaders" and help spread the word about all they are doing, and all that still needs to be done, to save our planet.
I believe a song can change the world. A song can open eyes, minds, and hearts. Songs can inspire and encourage. The Earth needs people with passion to help us get back on track. My songs are for these people – looking forward, being positive, and working together.

For Daria, Its all about empowering kids… letting them explore the world of music in a way that unlocks the amazing talent and inner beauty they naturally possess. For that reason, she’s adapted many of her multi-cultural activities for this website as a resource for parents, teachers, homeschoolers and kids of all abilities (each activity has all abilities notes). Whether it’s building a pow-wow style drum that can be played by a large number of people or recycling objects by transforming them into instruments, this website shares many great ways of bringing folks together through music.

For Marla Lewis, music is a way of life. She began singing as soon as she learned to talk! At the age of 3, she sang on a national radio talent show called, “Live Like a Millionaire”. She started piano lessons at the age of 5 and guitar a few years later. As a child, Marla loved to sing songs in many languages from around the world. Her mother, also a singer, introduced her to jazz, Dixieland, and opera. Marla also fell in love with folk and pop music. She wrote her first song at the age of 12, entitled, “Hopeless Love.” It still makes her friends chuckle. Today, when kids hear Marla's songs, they say: "Can we hear that AGAIN??"
